UCHS VB Fresh/Soph vs La Jolla "Had a "surprise" volleyball match at school today. Team's first match win - AND it was against La Jolla who had three of his scout buddies and two from his Club team. Nice time to pick up a win."
This was a memorable event because Leigh and I recognized more players from the La Jolla squad than ours. Not only was the match a surprise to us, it was against La Jolla where we had a lot of friends from scouts, and from our prior Coast club team. AND we sat with our good new friend, Irene, whose son was playing for LaJolla.
We were all excited about the upcoming La Jolla Tournament. This was Monday.
By Wednesday, it was pretty clear that COVID was going to shut things down. Sure enough, the day after our Wednesday match vs Valhalla, it was over.
The next volleyball wouldn't be until 13 months later.
Dash and Trevor were the lone players from this video to play Varsity in the 2022 Season; only Dash remains for 2023. http://ucvolley.com/dash and http://ucvolley.com/trevor
