Welcome to Fall 2021 UCHS Boys Beach Volleyball!
The UCHS Boys Beach Volleyball teams just completed, after a year off (thanks to COVID), a very successful 2021 Season. The team was deep with talent and the players new to volleyball showed great coordination and skills growth - they are clearly athletes bringing experience from other sports!
Teams that make the playoffs after all regular season matches are played earn a position in either District II, District I, or Open levels - the latter being the highest. In 2019, the Boys team earned a spot in District II level playoffs and won the championship. This year's varsity squad earned a spot in District I level and advanced through the playoffs to earn second place! Though we didn't win the championship, it's always a good season when you're in the last match. And to have three of the five teams be new to the sport, it is quite the accomplishment to make it into a higher playoff bracket AND get to the championship match.
The season was a great success in skills growth and fellowship: ask any of the athletes how enjoyable an atmosphere the coaches fostered. Great times!
